The October Path
One tiny thing a day, all the way to Halloween night.
A winding path with 31 stops that hangs in your kitchen all October long. Each day your child does one two-minute thing — trace the bat, hunt for a red leaf, practice the trick-or-treat voice — and colors that day’s stop.
- 31 stops · one two-minute thing a day · nothing to buy, no screens
- The poster for the wall — plus the same path on four sheets for a BIG one
- The Grown-Up Card: all 31 tiny things, one line each. Reading today’s out loud is the whole job
- My October Book (seven keepsake pages) and a certificate for the morning of November 1st
- US Letter and A4 · full-color and low-ink editions of every page
How it works
It’s not a workbook to finish — it’s a place to come back to. Three pieces do all the work: the poster, the card, and a crayon.
Real pages from the real files
This is exactly what you print — straight out of the download.
What’s inside
Sixteen pages. Here is every one of them, and what it’s for.
- The October Path poster — 31 stops through a soft autumn scene, ending at the jack-o-lantern on Halloween night. Print it once, hang it where breakfast happens.
- Your child’s own path — the same trail with big empty stops: they draw a tiny picture at every stop they finish.
- The BIG poster — the same path on four sheets to print and tape together: a real wall poster, straight from your home printer.
- The Grown-Up Card — all 31 tiny things, one line each. Your whole job is reading today’s out loud.
- Our Family Stops — five empty stops to fill with your own family’s tiny things.
- My October Book — seven keepsake pages made by your child’s own hands: glue the leaf you found, build the pumpkin’s face, turn a traced hand into a spooky tree, draw the costume, cotton on the spider’s web, and — on November 1st — the night of the 31st, drawn from memory. Staple it with the certificate on top: it keeps.
- The certificate — “I Walked the October Path!”, for the morning of November 1st, signed with their own name.
Questions parents ask
My child is 3. Is this too much?
No — every tiny thing is two or three minutes, and half of them are moving, looking or talking, not pencil work. Skip anything that doesn’t fit; the path doesn’t keep score.
Do I need to print all of it?
You can run the whole month on two sheets of paper: the poster and the Grown-Up Card. The rest is there when you want it.
Is this the curriculum?
No. The October Path is a one-month October tradition — a poster, a card and a little keepsake book — not lessons, and nothing in it assumes you own anything else from us. Curriculum families: it sits happily next to the curriculum, two or three minutes at breakfast.
What do I need at home?
A printer, crayons, paper, a bit of tape for the wall, and a glue stick for the keepsake book. The tiny things use what your house already has — a red leaf, an acorn or a tiny stone, buttons on a sweater, the moon tonight.
I’m in the UK, Europe or Australia. Will it fit my paper?
Yes — A4 is included alongside US Letter, in the same download. Pick your size and ignore the other.
Is anything shipped to me?
No — it’s a digital download. The link arrives by email right after checkout. You print at home and can reprint any page as many times as you like.

If something isn’t right, we fix it
Digital files can’t be returned, so all sales are final — but we’d rather fix a problem than keep your money. If a download won’t open, a page is missing or corrupted, or a file doesn’t match what’s described here, email hello@printandplaypreschool.com within 30 days and we’ll fix it, send replacement files, or refund you where that’s the right answer.
