The Ghost Garland — a free Halloween craft

Three ghosts on a string. Your child gives each one a face — happy, sleepy, silly — and a name. A grown-up cuts and threads, the garland goes up where everyone can see it, and every evening until Halloween somebody has to say goodnight to all three.

  • The Ghost Garland page — three ghosts to color, cut out and thread on a string
  • The one-page how-to — what you need, plus our little legend: solid line, a grown-up cuts · dashed line, little hands fold · GLUE box, the glue stick goes here
  • Two PDFs, US Letter and A4 — the download appears right here the moment you send the form
No card required · no spam — unsubscribe anytime

What’s in the free download

  • Page 1 · Ghost Garland. Three ghost outlines with “draw my face!” inside, two little holes each for the string, and a Now Play line at the bottom: give each ghost a name, and say goodnight to all three every evening until Halloween. Want a longer garland? Print the page again.
  • Page 2 · How this album works. What you need, the three-line legend (solid, dashed, GLUE box) and the list of all eight crafts — so you know what the other seven are.
  • What you need: crayons or markers, a piece of string, and a grown-up with scissors. Coloring is the child’s job; scissors and string are grown-up jobs.

Keep going

The Ghost Garland is one of eight. Here’s where it leads, one step at a time — every step is an instant download, and nothing ships.

A child holding up the colored Jack-o'-Lantern with star eyes and a zigzag grin, next to the face bank page
Craft 1 — the Jack-o’-Lantern, star eyes today
A child holding the finished Flappy Bat with fan-folded wings over the cut craft page
Craft 2 — the Flappy Bat, wings fanned
A child wearing the star-print Trick-or-Treat Crown with a pumpkin topper, the craft page on the table
Craft 7 — the Trick-or-Treat Crown, sized to the head

The Halloween Craft Album

$5.97

The garland’s seven siblings, one page each: a Build-Your-Own Jack-o’-Lantern with a face bank of ten pieces (star eyes today, zigzag grin tomorrow), the Flappy Bat whose fan-folded wings really flap, the Leggy Spider, Candy Corn Count & Feed, the (Friendly) Haunted House with flaps that open on your child’s drawings, the Trick-or-Treat Crown you can actually wear, and Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin for the party. One craft per afternoon is plenty.

2One tiny thing a day, all October long

The October Path

$6.97

A winding path with 31 stops hangs where breakfast happens. Each day your child does one two-minute thing — trace the bat, hunt for a red leaf, practice the trick-or-treat voice — and colors that day’s stop. The Grown-Up Card has all 31, one line each: your whole job is reading today’s out loud. By the 31st, the path is full of your child’s own colors — as many stops as you did.

The poster (plus a BIG version on four sheets), your child’s own path, the Grown-Up Card, My October Book keepsake pages, and the certificate “I Walked the October Path!” · ages 3-5 · US Letter + A4, each in full-color and low-ink editions

Good to know

Is the garland really free?

Yes. Leave your email and both PDFs (US Letter and A4) appear right here on this page — nothing to buy, no card. You’re joining our free-printables list; unsubscribe with one click anytime.

What do I need to make it?

Crayons or markers, a piece of string, and a grown-up with scissors. The ghosts are cut along the solid line, and the two little holes on each ghost are for the string. Hang the garland where you can see it — and out of little hands’ reach.

I’m outside the US. Will it fit my paper?

Yes. The A4 button gives you the same two pages laid out for A4. Every product on this page comes in A4 as well as US Letter, in the same download.

How does a download work if I buy something?

The link arrives by email the moment you check out. You print at home and can reprint any page as many times as you like. Nothing ships, nothing to cancel. If a download won’t open, a page is missing or a file doesn’t match what’s described, email hello@printandplaypreschool.com within 30 days and we’ll fix it, send replacement files, or refund you where that’s the right answer. Read the full policy.
